A Moth for Amy - #MothTakeOver
yesyesBD were tasked with creating a campaign for The Strata Group, the goal was to firmly establish the clients involvement in the mass engagement, public art project, “A Moth for Amy”. The project, lead by the Amy Johnson Festival, saw The Strata Group install 55 of 59 moth sculptures in various locations across Hull and the East Riding.
The social media lead campaign, was developed in an attempt to bring brands and individuals involved in the project together in a digital space. To do this we had the moths take over The Strata Groups social media channels. Over a period of eight days each of the 59 moths were featured, accompanied by the moths sponsor, artist and location.
Our team also created videos showcasing the install of the moths, designed alternative social media assets, ran out-of-home media, PR and created the #MothTakeOver hashtag to monitor communications.
The campaign received significant engagement across all platforms from partners, brands involved in the project and the general public. Facebook engagement for The Strata Group increased by 495% and their twitter received 255 retweets in only 8 days.
